2013 Member Energy Efficiency Programs
| Orange County REMC offers member incentive programs which include payments to members who purchase qualifying equipment. These program payments will assist members in buying more efficient equipment to save money over the life of their purchase. Incentive payments will only apply to equipment installed and operating in the 2013 calendar year in homes or structures connected to Orange County REMC. Interpretation of qualifying equipment and installations are at the sole discretion of Orange County REMC.
To promote and support system-wide deployment of Hoosier Energy’s Energy Management System all member discounts or rebate payments for water heaters or HVAC systems require installation of an EM switch as a qualification to receive the benefit. Under the guidelines of the 2013 program, members who pay their electric bill in the office before the penalty date can receive free CFL bulbs by bringing non-perishable food items for the local food bank for an exchange. Members taking advantage of this program can avoid late penalties and reduce future lighting costs. Details of the progam are listed below. |

| Water heaters $25 member discount for electric replacement water heaters purchased from us or another vendor (bill credit). 40 gallon minimum capacity - 0.90 minimum energy efficiency. Documentation required for heaters purchased from other vendors. $100 member discount for 80 gallon or larger electric replacement water heaters. 0.90 minimum energy efficiency. Documentation required for heaters purchased from other vendors. Free 40 or 50 gallon water heater from us for gas replacement or new construction. Member pays applicable sales tax. $50 bill credit if purchased from another vendor – documentation required – 0.90 minimum energy efficiency. $150 member discount for 80 gallon gas replacement or new load water heaters obtained from us. $100 bill credit if purchased from another vendor – documentation required - 0.90 minimum energy efficiency. $400 bill credit for members who purchase a hybrid heat pump water heater. | Air source heat pumps Member efficiency payments are based on the SEER* of the unit installed. The following amounts are payable for heat pumps installed as new loads, in dual fuel applications or to replace fossil fuel heat sources, or old heat pumps:

| CFL lighting — Members paying their bills in the office before the penalty date may exchange up to four non-perishable food items for compact florescent bulbs monthly. |

| ETS systems REMC will continue to subsidize the price of ETS room units and Comfort Plus Systems and provide a discounted off-peak electric rate. The maximum capacity increases to 15 kW of room units per household. All discounts are applied to the price of the ETS equipment at time of purchase. Members purchasing Comfort Plus systems also qualify for heat pump rebates. Members purchasing ETS systems may connect their water heaters to the off peak meter or they have the option to select our whole house time-of-use rate. Members must commit to staying on the TOU rate for a minimum of one year. |

| Central air conditioning Members installing central air conditioning for any reason quality for efficiency payments based on the SEER of the units installed as follows:
